French Week: Exploring the World of Carnival

This week, the students of groups 1 and 2 of FLSCO traveled through Francophonie exploring the traditions of the Carnival! From Binche in Belgium to New Orleans via Dunkirk, they discovered surprising customs: herring, necklace and orange throwing, not to mention the emblematic colors of each festival.

They watched videos, listened to stories, read texts, and made their own masks.
On Wednesday, March 26, they made the recipe for Mardi Gras doughnuts almost autonomously. The students of the 2 levels divided into 3 groups had to read and understand the recipe, cooperate, help each other and organize themselves, all using only French. A successful exercise with flying colours for all! Everyone had a great time!
