The Forest Festival

On the occasion of the 2025 Forest Festival and the 3rd UN Ocean Summit, secondary school students went on various school outings related to forest and sea.
The students of the high school went to the island of Koh Larn where they mixed reflection, discovery, and teamwork on the theme “What world do we want to build with and for nature?” Through workshops in SES, Philosophy and Literature, they debated, analyzed, recorded a podcast that will soon be online on the school’s website.
The students of the college went over 2 days to discover by boat and on foot a protected mangrove south of Rayong but where human activities such as fishing and shellfish farming are still observable. They were able to see several emblematic species of the mangrove such as the red crab, the monitor lizard or the “Flying Fox” bats. The students also saw the ravages of plastic pollution in this fragile ecosystem. The outing ended with a visit to a Royal Thai Navy ship, the HTMS Prasae. This day of discovery will be used in the various science and geography classes.
