Presentation

The French International School of Pattaya (EFIP International School), approved by the French and Thai Ministries of National Education, is located in Huai Yai, east of Pattaya (see map).

EFIP is one of the most renowned international schools in Pattaya, along with Regents International School Pattaya, St. Andrews International School, Rugby School, Tara Pattana International School and Burapa Pattanasart International School.

The school, built to international standards in 2018 on nearly 2 hectares, can accommodate up to 400 students from early years kindergarten to the final year of high school.

The school, a partner of the aefe (Agency for French Education Abroad), offers all children, whether French-speaking or not, the opportunity to attend school in accordance with the requirements of French national programs.

Students benefit from the objectives and organizational rules of the French education system, which allows them to return to normal schooling in case of a return to France, or to continue their studies abroad in any French or international school. Recognized by all higher education institutions, the French national baccalaureate diploma allows its holder to pursue studies worldwide.

The school also has a FLSCO (French as Language of Schooling) class which allows non-French-speaking students from CP (age 6) to CM2 (age 10) to benefit from intensive French lessons (approximately 12 hours per week) with a specialist teacher. The acquisition of fundamental skills within this system will allow them to follow the French program in their reference class, which they will join full-time as soon as they are ready.

Scholarships 2026/2027

Students of French nationality may receive a school scholarship from the first year of kindergarten (petite section), provided they are at least 3 years old in the calendar year of the school start. The scholarship is awarded by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), on the recommendation of the Local Scholarship Commission, which meets twice a year.

Applications must be submitted each school year at the first commission in January (CB1) for the following school year. There is no automatic renewal from one year to the next.

A second commission (CB2) is held in summer, for new expatriates, for applications deferred at CB1, and for families whose situation has changed significantly since CB1 (to be documented). These families inform the accounting department when they submit their application so that a tailored payment schedule can be offered.

EFIP sends an email to families to inform them of the opening of each of the two scholarship campaigns.

All information on educational assistance can be found on the French Embassy website. Read more
