TotalEnergies Corbion Plant Tour
During a school trip organized by the Physics and Chemistry teacher, the 11th and 12th grade students visited the Total Energies Corbion site near Rayong.
This plant, which employs 130 people, produces a bio-sourced plastic polymer derived from sugarcane, known as PLA.
This material is distinguished by its ecological properties: it is biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable.
During this visit, our students discovered new concepts in “green” chemistry, presented by the site director.
The tour of the quality control laboratory, the computer control room, the showroom, and finally the outdoor facilities was particularly impressive.
The rigorous organization and the use of sophisticated, high-performance equipment are testament to a cutting-edge industry, synonymous with high standards and innovation.
